Hazy, billowing clouds glide across the sky, carrying a storm that will nourish the land and its inhabitants. Recently, Calgary has been undergoing heavy water restrictions, so no outdoor plants have received water for about a month now. We've been heavily reliant on rain water, hoping for storms to replenish the soil, to keep her cool and hydrated during wild fire season. During this time, I've grown to really love the rain, the coolness of raindrops on my skin, the soft pattering of water as it splashes upon windowsills. This necklace was made in the hopes for more rain, more fresh water to heal the land we call home.
