The Unfurl Ring

~Be like a flower and turn your face to the sun~

I saw this quote in the early summer on a billboard located on the side of a shop. They change their signs a couple times a month, and they're often humorous or sometimes thought provoking. This quote of the latter kind has always reminded me of ferns, tiny little fiddleheads poking their heads out of the soft earth in the early spring, unfurling their tiny little leaves one by one to the sun. They reach out of the cluttered ground, littered with leaves and vines reminiscent of the year before.

This image has been forever encapsulated into this ring, a small stone set in the center of two surrounding ferns, wrapping around the sun like they do in early spring. I have carved small vines and branches into the silver to represent the cluttered earth revealed by the snow melt, faint ghosts of life present prior. 

This is a ring to take you through the winter months, to remind you of the life ahead during those dark and sometimes trying times. I carry one with me wherever I go, a little amulet to keep the ferns with you at your fingertips.

Measures approx. 1 1/4" tall, and wraps around the finger like a saddle

Measures US Size 6.75 on the mandrel, therefore best fits a size 6-6.25. Keep in mind that these rings are forgiving when choosing a size that is a bit larger than your regular size, but much less forgiving going the other way. For example, a person with a size 5.75 ring size will likely be able to wear this ring, but someone with a true size 6.75 will not. Please let me know if you have questions!
